Notes |
- Why did they marry at Stoke?
Possible connection via Rushtons Ann Rushon was a Witness and in 1851 Johns first cousin Samson was working on the farm of Robert Rushton and Mary at Hockley Hole. There was also a Christopher Rushton at Snow Hill, (on the Coleshill Turnpike near Mancetter Hill Farm), Nuneaton, a farmer and Licenced Victualler, both had children born at Hartshill. The 1881 Census at Stoke reveals two Edward Rushtons trading as coopers one born Hartshill and the other with a wife born at Wolvey. The latter had a boarder Harry Harris age 22 born at Bulkington.
